G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science (for women), sponsored by G. Pulla Reddy Charities Trust was founded by Late Sri G.Pulla Reddy garu,an eminent businessman with the marked vision and commitment towards a noble cause. The college has been named after his wife Smt. G. Narayanamma Garu. "G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science (for women)" is one institute that targets to promote technical education among women. His dream was to raise the position of the women in society so as to help them stand with equamity shouldering professional and domestic responsibility

The vision is envisaged in view of the vital role played by women in society empowering them with an increased awareness in accordance to the modern scenario.

Since its inception , the college has made rapid strides towards progress and development. It caters to the needs of the students not only in terms of increase in strength of staff and students but more significantly in updating the facilities in the campus

G.Narayanamma Institute of Technology & Science (for Women) has a vision set to ignite the scientific temper in young budding women engineering graduates. Since the inception of the college, the college has been taking in students and growing in facilities year after year. Aesthetically landscaped, the sprawling campus of the college is home to the finest facilities and contemporary instructional infrastructure.


Every student of GNITS can be assured that this institution will provide them a very congenial academic ambience and the right type of inputs in order to mould them with the right technical competence as required by the industry.

From the academic year 2004-2005 the college has introduced a post graduate programme in Power Electronics and Electric Drives. In 2007 Post graduate programmes in CSE & ECE have been introduced and in the year 2012-13 post graduate programmes in IT and ETM have been introduced. Towards the goal of fulfilling the vision, ISO 9001:2008 certification has been obtained. The college has been accredited by National Board of Accreditation of AICTE.

From the academic year 2011-2012 the institute has got an autonomous status by JNTU, Hyderabad. This in turn denotes that the faculty holds a high sense of responsibility in order to adhere to the requirements of an autonomous Syllabus.
