Rotract Club of GNITS

Rotaract club of GNITS was established in the year 2014 association with Rotaract Dist3150.The main objective of this club is to provide an opportunity for young women to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in professional development, to address the physical and social needs of their community.


Objectives:

To develop professional and leadership skills.

To emphasize respect for the others, based on recognition of the worth of each individual.

To recognize the dignity and the value of all useful occupations as opportunities to serve.

To provide opportunity for young people to address the needs and the concerns of the community and our world.

A.Y 2021

 

Activity:  District Service Event

Date:  1st July 2021

Description: 

We officially stepped into a new Rotaract year with our first service project. The district suggested an amazing initiative, to start our Rotaract year with a service project. With that said, we, at Rotaract club of GNITS took up the opportunity to enthusiastically take part in multiple service activities. Our team distributed groceries, clothes, masks, dustbins, sanitizers. We also took part in planting a sapling. Here, are the pictures of various activities done by our executive board.


Activity : Installation 2021-22

Date:  18th July 2021

Description: 

We have successfully completed the installation of our Executive Board 2021-22 in hybrid mode in our college seminar hall.


Activity :  “What do you need freedom from?”

Description:

We asked our people, what do they need freedom from? And are amused with the responses. It is 21st century and there are so many things that we still crave freedom from. So, this Independence day we thought of giving them the freedom to express what they need freedom from?


Activity:  University in Diversity

Description:

We, at Rotaract club of GNITS collaborated with Rotaract club of Mumbai Salt City and 4 other clubs in a cultural exchange. We joined together virtually and celebrated the culture of 5 cities namely Hyderabad, Mumbai, Guwahati, Goa and Bangalore.


Activity :   GYLC – Global Youth Leaders Conclave

Date:  7th to 10th October, 2021

Description:

GYLC or the Global Youth Leaders Conclave is an event we have collaborated with TBH Circle to help our students improve their skills in aspects such as entrepreneurship, resume building, etc


Activity: Orientation for members

Date: 16th November

Description:

We organized an orientation day for all new Rotaractors wherein we explained about club and projects we do. We played some games and got to know each other. This event took place in college IT seminar hall.


Activity: Project Inayat

Date: 13th November

Description: We organized a fundraiser event on 13th November in our college. The funds collected will be used for well-being of children in multiple orphanages. As part of fundraiser, we arranged a number of game stalls and food stalls in Admin Lawn of our College


A.Y 2020

A resume is a short document used to summarize a job seeker’s experience and qualifications for a prospective employer. Resumes are used across most industries and are relatively short at just one or two pages long. That’s because resumes aren’t meant to include every detail of your past experience.

We the Rotaract Club of GNITS have organized Resume building workshop on 5th march 2020, it was conducted by Dr. Aparna, HOD, H&M Dept.

There were 20 students who utilized this opportunity and the feedback from the participants was completely positive.

Rotaract Club of GNITS have successfully hosted an interactive workshop with the FACTLY team.

What is FACTLY?

FACTLY is one of the well known Data Journalism and Public Information portals in India. Each news story on FACTLY is backed by factual evidence from official sources. 

The workshop was conducted by Ms. Pavithra KM, Research Associate and Ms. Parvathi Mohan, Lead of Video production

Thought behind the workshop:   To know the importance of policy measures and data journalism


Rotaract Club of GNITS has Successfully finished it’s 6th Installation ceremony on 17th Aug 2019.

Chief Guest: Rtn. Arvind Kedia,Parent Club President,Rotary Club of Hyderabad.

Guest of Honour: Rtn. Ramana,DRCC.

The event included:

>The COTS(Club Officers Training Session) started at 1:30 p.m followed by the Swearing-in Ceremony of the Club Office Bearers for the year 2019-20.

>Handing over the gavel,gong and collar by the outgoing president to incoming president.>Handing over of Charter to the incoming secretary by the DRCC. 

>The ceremony included farewell address by outgoing president and last years’s annual activity report presentation by outgoing secretary.

>Pinning of the IPP, President,Secretary along with the office bearers.

>The club received some valuable suggestions from the dignitaries regarding the activities under various avenues.>An action plan for the coming year was put forward by the incoming president with good number of new events as well as current flagship events. Vote of  thanks by secretary.

COMMUNITY SERVICE:

  • Rotaractors from our club volunteered for distribution of 2802 high school dual desks conducted by Rotary club of Ameerpet.
  • It was held on September 1st at G.Narayanamma Institute of Technology & Science.
  • Our club provided the Venue for the event.

The event was supported by Rotary club of St. Simons Island, USA, RI Dist 6920

  • PEACE WALK:30 Rotaractors from the club attended the Peace walk conducted by Rotary club of Jubilee Hills.
  • It was organized on September 2nd at KBR National Park.
  • People from various Rotary &Rotaract Clubs took part in the walk.

Interactors from various schools also participated

  • DAAN UTSAV:As a part of Joy of Giving Week celebrations, DaanUtsav 2k18 was organised by Rotaract Club of GNITS in collaboration with Rotaract Club of InbhadraSarapaka.
  • We have reached out to 160 kids from orphanages across the city.
  • The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves in the Dance,  Drawing, Games and Motivational sessions.
  •  We gave away classmate notebooks, stationery and crayons to the kids.

We have also had an overwhelming support of 150 Rotaractors of our club as volunteers for the event


A.Y 2017

Activity 1: ESPORTE

Date/Time/Venue: On 8-1-2017, in GNITS, Hyderabad, from 9:00Am-6:00Pm.

Description:  ESPORTE is a flagship project of RAC GNITS. The  fund generated through this event would be given to physically challenged sportsmen. More than 150 rotaractors participated in this event and 8 clubs participated. This is a sports event and we have conducted many competitions in which rotaractors participated with enthusiasm.

Activity : Career Conclave (Community Service) on 25-01-2017, in ZPHS, Kothapet, Hyderabad, from 8:30-9:30am

INSTALLATION EVENT

  • JOINT INSTALLATION CEREMONY OF ROTARACT CLUB OF GNITS & ROTARACTCLUBOFHYDERABAD
    graced by the niche presence of esteemed  Rotarians, District Council members and  Rotaractors of GNITS on July 22nd, 2017.


BACK TO SCHOOL- “Back to School”, in collaboration with Rotaract Club of Himayatnagar, under Project Share Care Smile, was a small-scale event aimed at giving out pens and books to students of 6th standard in ZPHS, Shaikepet  and was conducted on 23rd August, 2017.

In collaboration with Rotaract Club of Sunrise, we at Rotaract Club of GNITS, RID 3150 have conducted an event for felicitating our dearest faculty members of all the departments on the occasion of Teacher’s Day through GRATULIER, A TOKEN OF HONOUR

WORLD PHARMACY  DAY: On the occasion of World Pharmacy Day, on 25th September, in collaboration with Rotaract Club of Pune Singhad Road RID 3131, we at Rotaract Club of NITS have donated medicines in an Orphanage
