Late Sri G.Pulla Reddy (1920-2007 ) Late Smt G.Narayanamma (1925-2010)
G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science (for women), sponsored by G. Pulla Reddy Charities Trust was founded by Late Sri G.Pulla Reddy garu,an eminent businessman with the marked vision and commitment towards a noble cause. The college has been named after his wife Smt. G. Narayanamma Garu. “G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science (for women)” is one institute that targets to promote technical education among women. His dream was to raise the position of the women in society so as to help them stand with equamity shouldering professional and domestic responsibility.
The vision is envisaged in view of the vital role played by women in society empowering them with an increased awareness in accordance to the modern scenario.
Since its inception , the college has made rapid strides towards progress and development. It caters to the needs of the students not only in terms of increase in strength of staff and students but more significantly in updating the facilities in the campus
About Institute:
G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science (for women), well known as GNITS is established by Shri (late) G Pulla Reddy & Smt. (late) G. Narayanamma in 1997 to leverage ‘education’ as a means of ‘empowerment’ of women. Shri G Pulla Reddy, known across India and abroad for his quality of sweets, was a man of uncompromising quality and vision. His deep concern and strong conviction for the welfare of the society led to the establishment of G. Pulla Reddy Charities Trust in 1977 with the motto of rendering service to the society. The Charities Trust sponsors and manages several Public Service Institutions, Educational Institutions, Respite Homes and Organizations that uphold the Indian Culture, Tradition and Values.
