IOT based Ambient Noise Pollution Awareness System

Noise pollution to a huge extent is neglected despite its short and long-term ramifications on human health. The various permissible noise limits in residential, commercial and industrial areas should be strictly followed in accordance with the governing law and WHO guidelines to reduce the effects of noise pollution on human health. Road traffic is one of the main sources of noise pollution and the effect of increased automobile use in recent years especially in various metropolitan cities has resulted in increased noise levels. The potential health effects of noise pollution have led various communities to study the impact of this ‘silent killer’ that isn’t given enough importance when compared to the attention being given to other environmental pollution.

Gain Enhancement of Microstrip Patch Antenna for WiFi Augmentation

The proposed antenna is used solely for the purpose of gain enhancement. The specifications of the proposed antenna are based on the operating frequency range of 2.4 and 5 GHz. It uses FR4-Epoxy substrate with a thickness of 0.8mm and a relative permittivity of 4.3. Copper is used as the conductive material with thickness of 0.035 mm. The antenna is fed by a microstrip line.

Automatic Authorised Vehicle allowance System

The purpose of Automatic Authorized Vehicle Allowance System is to build an Application of digital image processing with Raspberry pi, which can be useful in entryparking system. Raspberry pi will detect the vehicle using IR sensor and take a picture forits plate and send it to the system. Then, system applies digital image processing techniquein the image. Different algorithms are incorporated in system such as segmentation,normalization, localization, orientation and optical character recognition (OCR) whichanalyses certain features in image and predicts car plate numbers.The extracted number is compared against records present in exclusively designedflask web application.

Vehicle Congestion Controller and Penalty System

In this project, Image Processing techniques are used where the traffic density at a four-way crossing roads is automatically sensed and is used to control traffic congestion by dynamically allocating time to release vehicles. The system uses Image Acquisition, Image Scaling, Image Enhancement, followed by Object Detection in order to estimate the density of vehicles on roads and regulate the traffic accordingly. Based on the vehicle count obtained, time is allocated for the vehicles present on the road to pass. The Arduino board is then used to control the red, green LED’s. When the vehicle crosses the red signal then the number plate of the vehicle is recognized and a message regarding the penalty is sent to the respective phone number that is registered with that vehicle.

Solar-Powered Vacuum Cleaner and Floor Cleaner Robot

Solar-based vacuum cleaner robot that makes cleaning outside spaces, porches, open cafés, huge grounds and so on, exceptionally simple. The framework is made to assist cleaners with cleaning enormous open spaces with no actual exertion and without the need to charge the robot continually.

Smart and Safe Child Rescue System  from Borewell

The proposed design is to rescue trapped child from bore well within short period and with safely. The borewell rescue system can move inside the same borewell where the child has been trapped and performs various actions to save the child. Additional components like adjustable arms, digital integrated camera, sensors are added to the design to improve rescue operation. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and thingsview app are used for the software part.

Energy Efficient IoT based Waste Management System (IIIT-H project)

Internet of Things is a domain where things communicate without requiring human-to human interference. Urbanization contributes to waste generation, and unscientific waste handling causes health hazards and urban environment degradation. Through this project, we address the problem of garbage downpour by using smart dustbin. The garbage level of the dustbin can be sensed by using the ultrasonic sensor. The level of the bin is sensed at adaptable intervals which are calculated considering the dustbin level changing rate and the time of operation. Only those values with considerable difference are updated to the cloud to analyze them. We make use of ESP-32 Wi-Fi module to send the notification to the concerned authorities when the dustbin is full to alert them.

DESIGN OF SMART MIRROR AS A COLLEGE NOTICEBOARD USING IOT

A smart mirror is a device that functions both as a reflective mirror and a computer display. It is designed with the help of Raspberry Pi v4 as its primary controller. It is currently programmed to display weather forecast, calendar, date, day, a motivational compliment and news updates. We plan on updating the current design to display college department notifications, updates and general notices. The hardware used will remain the same; the major changes will be done in the software components. We plan on using the college website to obtain the required data for the mirror.

PIANO NOTE RECOGNITION

A standard piano has 88 keys. In this project, a 61 keys keyboard has been analyzed, fundamental frequencies have been found and their respective notes have been determined. Our approach of note recognition includes onset detection using edge filter and FFT analysis. The results are compared with other approach of averaging and DFT computation. The average error of our approach for a sample song input is found to be only 1.34 as against the averaging and DFT approach having 1.95 average error. The note recognition over five octaves is also performed, and the results are tabulated. It is observed that this method of note recognition is effective, and average error is only 1.34.

WOMEN SAFETY PATROLLING ROBOT USING IOT       

In light of the present situation of the metro cities and other big cities, women security has emerged as one of the most important requirements in many parts of the world. We have all noticed that, despite living in a technologically advanced world, crime rates against women are steadily rising. Robotics is a modern technology which is changing human life, as the key and emerging component of robotics is control and automation. Patrolling is nothing more than keeping track of an area where the corresponding robot patrolling is continuously moving in the area allocating to the robot. Robot patrolling is primarily used in the outskirts, open places.
